DAS Bira's dynamic duo, Duygu and Serhat, bring their passion for craft brewing to life. Both graduates of German and Austrian-style schools, they chased their dream of establishing a craft brewery to share their one of a kind beers with the rest of the world.
Duygu and Serhat's Work 👨🔧👩🔬
Duygu and Serhat are now both life partners 💞 and business partners 👫. We work shoulder to shoulder for the job we dream of and pursue with passion. Serhat focuses on technical details in beer making 🍺, while Duygu deals with our business partners and sales 🕵️♀️, and we both take care of all the details from pre-accounting to cleaning, official correspondence and permits, from product distribution to customer relations.
The Story of Our Educational Background and the Name DAS 👩🎓👨🎓
After completing her undergraduate education at Marmara University, Duygu completed her Master's degree in Business Information Systems at Boğaziçi University. Serhat is a graduate of Yıldız Technical Electrical Engineering. Since we both graduated from German-speaking high schools, we really liked the word DAS (the article for beer). Also, our mascot Animal (Muppetshow Drummer) who was a home brewer got the letter A, and Duygu became a name consisting of the first letters of the team: Animal and Serhat.

Hello! I am the co-founder of DAS bira.
I am in communication with our sales points and I am responsible for the smooth progress of the distribution and sales channels.
Serhat Ay
Hello! I prepare the recipes and brew our beers. Production, planning, permits and all technical details are my responsibility!

DAS Brewery
We are located in Kırklareli Luleburgaz, 2.5 hours drive way from Istanbul. Positioned in an industrial site, we are located in the same site with many boutique wine producers.
As a dedicated team, we manage all aspects from production to distribution. While distribution limits our presence in the brewery, our personal engagement with sales points ensures quality control. We make sure each and every beer you experience is in perfect condition and fresh.
